St. George’s College, Aruvithura, added another proud chapter to its sporting legacy as its volleyball team emerged as the second runners-up in the Kerala College Sports League Volleyball Championship 2026. The prestigious tournament brought together 16 top university teams from across Kerala, providing a high-level competitive platform for some of the finest collegiate volleyball players in the State.
The championship was conducted from August 18 to 22, 2026, with matches hosted at the Jimmy George Indoor Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, and GV Raja Sports School. Organised as an initiative to revitalise volleyball on Kerala’s college campuses and provide young players with greater competitive exposure, the league witnessed intense contests among the participating teams.
The remarkable performance of the Aruvithura team and its second runners-up finish is a matter of great pride for St. George’s College. The achievement further reflects the institution’s strong sporting culture and its continued commitment to nurturing talented student-athletes, particularly in volleyball, a sport in which the college has a distinguished tradition.
